Pinata

For many many years, people in Mexico have been using Piñatas (pronounced pin-yah-taws) for almost every occasion. They are now so popular you could call it a tradition.

A Piñata is a hand made Papier-mâché/cardboard model which can be filled with sweets, balloons, small toys, in fact just about anything of your choice.

The idea of the game is to fill and suspend the Piñata by a rope and take turns to hit it with a buster. Each child gets 2 turns to try and break it open while blindfolded! (spin the child around first to make it harder!). Once they have succeeded in breaking it open, the Piñata will release it's contents and then it's a mad dash for everyone to see how many goodies they can pick up. The kids just love it and so do the parents!

Piñatas are approximately 18-24 inches high by 18-24 inches across, they are a definite "Party HIT" for any occasion and don't forget to buy the buster, blindfold and fillers!

Hello, Everyone.. It's Hawwaiian day today..

We're here! I like the grass, so my first shot would be on the... grass!

As you can see, the weather was not at all that clear and bright.. but, hey, it's not hot! :D

Initially Aunt Ibbit wanted a shot with me on the skateboard, but since I was so shy, that didn't happen, even though the owner has gone away - to make me feel comfortable.
So, it was us holding the skateboard.

Thursday Nite, I was at The Zone Regency with my parents and aunt.. we had to attend to a matter, namely I had to do a 'little' photoshoot there *winkie*.

While waiting, Pa kept me company, Ma went to attend to the matters and my Aunt wandered around with the camera.

Yeah, I got to play with the toys there too....

They are cute, aren't they?

Just having a look.. I did not buy toys this time, just some nighties. I have bought some toys on the previous trip.

These lovely Little Princesses gathered at their Uncle's place at Nilai many months ago and decided to have a dip in the pool one fine morning. Nayniss was the youngest of the four. Presenting the other three princesses - Adiba, Atira and Dinie. Adiba and Atira are twin sisters.

Puk Syu was born on November 16, 1990 right here in this city.

This photoshoot was on the midnite of November 15, 2006. Before it was November 16. Everyone's tired-looking and not appropriately dressed. Only Atok Nayniss was dressed properly, dia memang kaki smart. Everyone else? Gottt... we have the photos.. hehehe but hey, what for? NOT APPROPRIATELY DRESSED, remember? Yeah, you could say that we are very particular when it comes to ourselves.. other people we don't care....

Nayniss ada bagi pwezen for Puk Syu tau. teka apa dia? haaa.. tu la... memula secwet.. tapi skang dah boleh bagi tau... It's a soft-toy, cuddly soft-toy.. a chubby farmcow... cute sangat.. nanti Nayniss tunjukkan later.

December 15, 2006 - Nayniss ke KL pergi rumah Tok Su Ah di Kajang nak tengok Majlis Pernikahan Mak Long Dee pada malamnya. Nayniss singgah Nilai dahulu kerana stay rumah Kak Dini.

December 16, 2006 - Nayniss, Mama, Papa, Nenek, Mak Da ke Putrajaya Holdings untuk menghadiri Majlis Perkahwinan Mak Long Dee dan Pak Long Irman. Kat sana Nayniss jumpa Tok Abah, Tok, Mak Long, Cik Mas, Pak Usu. Cik Lin dan Uncle Fahmy sampai terlalu lewat, Nayniss tak jumpa mereka. Nayniss lepak dengan Mak Long. Nayniss tak biasa dengan suasana begitu. Nayniss rasa agak penat dan sedikit bosan. Mak Long Dee dan Uncle Irman nampak sangat cantik dan kacak.

December 17, 2006 - Nayniss, Mama dan Papa jalan-jalan di KL dan ziarah rumah adik Tok Abah, iaitu Tok Syed dan Tok Nor di TTDI. Ini pertama kali Nayniss ke rumah mereka. Nenek Anis pun ada di sana.

December 18, 2006 - Nayniss balik ke JB. Mak De dan Mak Su pun ikut sama, seronoknya! Ramailah gang Nayniss nanti. Sampai pun sudah malam dan hujan yang sangat lebat. Sejuk.

Nota : Nayniss sudah hampir dua minggu selsema masih belum baik dan sekarang Nayniss batuk-batuk pula. Sungguh merimaskan dan menyakitkan. Harapnya lekaslah sembuh, kerana Nayniss tak sabar nak bermain-main dengan riang dan ceria seperti biasa.

Hijacking Incidents

Incident 1

Venue: Our House in JB City
Time: Approximately 7 pm, one Ramadhan evening, 2006. Buka Puasa time.

Everyone was breaking fast, so was Nayniss. As always, orang lain yang berbuka puasa, Nayniss yang kenyang dulu. Tok Abah, Tok, Mama and Papa and sometimes Mak Long took turns holding Nayniss. We could easily place her in her stroller and leave her there, next to us, but sayang punya pasal, tak sampai hati, nak juga Nayniss join us breaking fast. During buka puasa, Nayniss would be allowed to have a bite on raisins and dates (sipping the juices from it actually) and drink filtered water.

As Mama was passing the Asma Rojak plate to Papa, all of a sudden the senduk was hijacked from the plate by Nayniss, who was sitting on Mama's lap. It was sudden and done quietly and very selambaly by her. At first everyone was silent, and then everybody shouted in unison, "Senduk, senduk, dia dapat senduk", and burst into laughter. Mak Long said, "Fuiyo, dia hijack sendukkk!" Papa immediately took the senduk from her, and Mama switched Nayniss to her other side, far from the plate. But Nayniss' facial expression was indifferent. Selamba aje as if nothing happened. Cool, huh Nayniss?

Note : When holding Nayniss, be mindful of any nearby decorative ornaments, cutlery, and even tablecloth, especially those in bright colors. DULY NOTED by Nayniss!

Incident 2

Venue: Our House In JB City

Time: November 24, 2006, 8 pm, before dinnertime, as Mak Long and Mama were having something light to eat.

Mama was eating toast spread with Nutella whilst talking to Mak Long and Nayniss sat on Mama's lap as usual. When Nayniss repeatedly tried to grab the toast, Mama let her have a bite (sipped Nutella from the toast, actually). Suddenly she took a small bite (how she did that, I don't know because Nayniss hasn't got a single tooth pun, but her gums are really strong). Mama was a bit concerned, and asked Mak Long whether it was okay or not for Nayniss to eat the toast. Mak Long said, it's a tiny bite anyway, and bread is soft, so tak apalah. She must have liked the sweet-tasting Nutella agaknya.

The second time Mama let her have a taste of the toast, she took a bigger bite. This time Mama quickly swallowed her toast, and, seeing this, Nayniss was pretty mad. Mengamuk Nayniss, hentak-hentak kaki. And, seeing Mama trying to sip her canned Nescafe, Nayniss suddenly grabbed the straw, trying to get the can. It was quite a while, both of them bertarik-tarikkan Nescafe tu. Mama then quickly pulled the can, finished her drink and threw the can into the dustbin. Susah Mama dia nak makan, semuanya nak tumpang, ya Nayniss. Mama said "Toast, boleh beri lagi, Nescafe no way!". Hai Nayniss, dia ingat dia dah besar agaknya..so eager to try everything.
